Something of a family affair, this five-piece band from South East London comprised brothers Pat Francois on guitar and vocals, Elvis Francois on drums, Sylvio Francois on bass, Alan Daniels on keyboards, and percussionist Clive Douglas.

Their single It’s Up To You, was co-produced by Chris Palmer and came out on EMI in 1981. But later that year, they caused a sensation with their brilliant instrumental Keep On, which appeared on the late Andy Sojka’s Elite label. But it was a very hard act to follow indeed. And their third single, Love Something Special, was not favoured as much by certain sections of the ever-so critical music press. However, it is the music fans’ opinion which counts the most. And the contribution made by Touch will be long remembered.
